These days, as a grown man with very little free time on his hands, I rarely play through a game more than once.
I played through Portal 2 twice.
And once in co-op.
Portal 2 is all of these things:
Funny
Fun
Tricky
Innovative
Polished
Worthwhile
There are a few reasons why this game did not get a big ol’ 10 on our Game-O-Meter, and they are the following:
The game hits a very slow point down in the Cave Johnson levels and back up into the main test chambers.
The game, while fun, does not stick with you long after beating it in the same way that most games scoring a 10 do.
And lastly, and most unfortunately, portal puzzles start to feel contrived as the game progresses.
Luckily, the game is rather short, and therefore none of the criticisms above bear too heavily on the player.
If you like video games and enjoy being amused in general, give Portal 2 a whirl. You don’t even really have to have played Portal to enjoy it. Although it couldn’t hurt.
