This game had so much potential for radness that just didn't end up coming across in the end. I'm very saddened by this fact. In fact, if the game hadn't had really unique boss fights, it would have dropped down to a 4.5.
There were some interesting game mechanics however, such as the way that the game used the touch screen throughout gameplay to change Peach's moods.
Some of the level design was good, but for the most part, it was very bland and didn't offer many challenges. It's an easy game. It's almost so easy that it's boring.
Mild spoiler that you might want to read if you're playing or going to play this game:
You have to rescue all the Toads in every level before you can fight the final boss. About half way through the game, I stopped looking for the Toads, because it wasn't fun to search for them. Mostly, I just wanted to get through the levels as fast as possible so I could see the next boss fight. So, collect those Toads as you play through. That way you won't have to go back and do it later.
